PMG R&D is the crucible of innovation for the company where new technologies are forged and new ideas brought to fruition.
At PMG, development of new technologies or new products has four critical phases:
Opportunity Evaluation:
New technology ideas are verified and a determination is made regarding their merit for further development.
Concept Feasibility:
A variety of concept alternatives are evaluated and their technical feasibility assessed and relative merits ranked. A winning idea or concept is the outcome of this step.
Proof of Concept:
Selected design / process concept is proven and an assessment of its manufacturability and performance made.
Transition:
Prior to technology release or product transfer to manufacturing, required equipment is sourced, installed and run for large scale validation. Technical information is properly recorded and training is provided to production personnel to make the new concept ready for mass production and commercialization.
