SUMMARY OF PRIMARY DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities related to inventory control, production data collection, procurement of goods & services, and customer and job shop deliveries, and customer serivce; as well as strategic initiatives to improve cycle counts, inventory losses, and cost containment measures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
including the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates the flow of goods throughout the building by overseeing personnel responsible for the individual roles of WIP movement, FG shipping and raw material unloading.
- Oversees all procurement functions related to MRO, Production Aids, Raw Materials, Packing Aids, and service agreements.
- Oversees all customer service activities related to customer order processing, pricing verifications within ERP system, and quantity discrepancies or credits of specific shipments and goods.
- Actively reviews GL accounts for comparisons of budget versus actual on daily, weekly, mid-month and MTD of accounts related to departmental spending.
- Oversees the Production Data Collection personnel to ensure accurate entries into ERP system in order to reduce inventory count errors from either cycle counts or daily production input.
- Develops cross functional teams to resolve conflict and promote continual improvement within the department.
- Develops a fully functional supply chain to ensure production and packing aids are on hand as needed.
- Works with Production Management to ensure timely customer communication of delivery issues or conflicts with customer shipments.
- Reviews and improves present systems related to cycle counting, inventory accuracy, WIP movement, raw material losses and dunnage scrap.
- Instills best practice methods for cost saving and efficiency improvements of material handling.
- Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting pricing and profitability of products and services where applicable.
- Works in a safe manner and follows all plant safety policies; and instills safe practices while training other personnel by stressing the hazards associated with operation of specific pieces of equipment.
- Actively participates as a member of the Strategic Planning Group for future growth of the organization.
- Leads through example with respect to professionalism and leadership in the execution and support of company policies and directives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) majoring in Accounting or Business Administration or from four-year college or university ; and five to seven years experience in a Tier 1 or II supplier managerial setting; or a combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel. Ability to use Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook as needed. Ability to learn and extract data from the ERP software; including report writing. Ability to learn and extract data from various resources. Ability to design and develop presentation and present data, concepts and solutions in an easily understood format.
